OK Go – Obsession Music Video

We’ve all fought with printers in our lives. The paper gets stuck, the drivers aren’t working – there’s always something that can go wrong (and it almost always happens on a deadline, strangely enough).

But what if printers could be our friends?

The band OK Go, who are known for their incredible music videos, have made friends with printers in this video, synchronising and choreographing 567 of them to create this incredibly spectacle you see below. And before you ask – all of the paper used was recycled, the proceeds of which were donated to Greenpeace.

Stefano Sauce Packaging

Now THIS is how you do a brand identity! We love this project by lg2 for Stefano sauce. From a fun logo, which draws directly from the man behind the sauce himself through to nifty applications onto T-Shirts and other collateral, we can see how lg2 really pushed themselves here to create a brand – not just a label design.

How could you NOT want this in your kitchen?

Camera Repair Centre – Print Campaign

Such great work from The Public House in Ireland for Camera Repair Centre. They’ve got a really simple message to deliver: Yesterday’s Cameras Restored For Today, which they brought to life with smart illustrations showing people using old cameras in the ways we use them today.

Spot on! And really funny too!

Nedbank – I Don’t Live For Money

Wow! What a meaningful, thoughtful ad from Joe Public for the revamped Nedbank Money app. Rather than focusing just on the abstraction of ‘money’ this piece shows us the great things that we can do with money – and what it means to people.

This is much more exciting than some of the other ads we’ve seen when banks have redesigned their apps. We know that apps are expected now, we need to show people more than just functionality!

Well done to all involved!

Google Pixel 2 Film

Droga5 know how to do good advertising and this piece for the new Google Pixel 2 is no exception.

We love the way they use loads of quick cuts and what feel like real people asking questions about what the phone can do (which is specifically important to this phone as it has Google Assistant built into it: An AI assistant that you speak to). What this spot does very well also, is essentially it provides a really smart product demo; what with all the applications for the phone’s functionality that are covered by the people in the ad.

So good!

The Artery – Website

The Artery is a creative company that does visual effects, design and film and TV, amongst other creative outputs. Their site is something really special to behold – just what you’d expect from a company that does such amazing work for their clients.

With an innovative grid / menu system that surfaces content in smart ways, through to gorgeous 3D graphics – this is a website that really pushes web design into a new space.

We love it!

Check out their site here.

Another Pirate Story

We love it when people push the boundaries of multimedia and web design like this. This project, Another Pirate Story, by Alessandro Larini is a beautifully illustrated interactive story for kids (and adults!) that takes place on a really gorgeous website.
