Pure Sh*t – Art Direction

To honour the somewhat trying year that was 2020, we present to you an Australian manure brand called… Pure Sh*t. Their launch video gave us a real smile, perfect after how this year has been. Such great work from Gen C.

The entire brand is great, from top to bottom. The website looks great, the packaging is spot on and their launch video is just perfect.

You can visit their website here.

New Holland Brewing Company – Raid the Dragon’s Hoard

This one is for all the retro gamers out there. New Holland Brewing Company, along with their agency DNA Seattle created a retro-inspired online game where players can win real prizes.

It’s an 8-bit adventure you’ll be sad to miss!

Dare you raid the dragon’s hoard? Visit here.

Alaska Airlines – Safety Dance

This piece by Mekanism for Alaska Airlines is just too much fun. They created a safety dance ad (based on the 80s classic, of course) that shows potential customers how seriously they’re taking safety on their flights, thanks to the COVID crisis.

We especially love the detail showing the lettering making space in the intro – very clever!

You can check out the film below.

Google Blob Opera – Multimedia

We love Google Arts & Culture experiments and Blob Opera is one of the best we’ve seen in a while. It uses machine learning to allow you to create your very own opera with four different voices. Perfect in time for Christmas carols!

What a great way to spend some time goofing off in the week before Christmas!

Nike House of Innovation – Multimedia

To launch Nike’s House of Innovation in Paris, B-Reel London and Artificial Rome worked together to create an augmented reality experience that transformed Paris into a virtual playground, in expectation of the imminent launch of Nike’s new store.

We love the big thinking in this project, and the clever way they used web to tie it all together (without requiring an app download). Check out the case video below to see how it all went down!

Société de l’assurance automobile du Québec – Print Campaign

Such a clever campaign by lg2 Quebec for Société de l’assurance automobile du Québec. It uses some smart art direction and illustration to remind people to make safer decisions if they’re under the influence.

It’s interesting to compare these sorts of campaigns with those that aim for shock value. It seems to us that we’ve probably all been shocked as much as we could be with regard to drink-driving and similar communication, so perhaps this softer route is better right now. Time will tell!

Moooi – Multimedia

Moooi is an interior design company based in the Netherlands, with not only beautiful designs, but a really gorgeous website too. It was built and designed by Build in Amsterdam, a digital agency that focuses on creating incredible online flagship stores and e-commerce experiences.

It does such a good job of capturing the feel of the brand and giving the user a sensory experience, when they can’t get into the store itself. This is relevant not only because of the COVID crisis we find ourselves in, but also globalisation. Customers from all over the world would want to see what Moooi has to offer. Great work!

Great results at the Student Gold Pack Awards 2020

We’ve just received the news that our students have done incredibly well at the Student Gold Pack Awards 2020!

We’ve included a selection of images from our winners throughout this piece.

By participating in the Student Gold Pack 2020 competition, the 2nd year graphic design students gained exposure and insight into the world of packaging as a career. Students could select from a variety of project briefs to develop their design concept. The packaging design needed to highlight the product’s features and benefits, which our students were able to capture incredibly well!

Congratulations go to the following students:
