Alex Amoros is a photographer based in the London borough of Hackney. Today, we’re sharing just a small selection from his project, Citizens of Hackney, which was shot in August 2020 in the middle of corona virus. His goal was to show how people are coping and coming together during the difficulties of lockdown and the global pandemic. It’s one part documentary photography, one part portraiture, one part street style and altogether such a great record of what has happened. And to take it one step further, this series of images will be made into a book too, which we feel is the perfect way to mark this period in time.
