Marcos Lopez is an Argentinian photographer who captures the vibrance and magnetism of South American culture through the lens of his camera.
We’ve shared images here from his ‘Debut and Farewell’ series, which aims to show the dualities in life – how tenderness can live right next to harshness, or life next to death. We love his unique take and we must admit we would love to see our students and professional photographers in SA do the same: What is it about our view of life that is unique? What lens do we look through as South Africans that is different to anyone else?
