Dominic Roberts is a designer who works in Cape Town with a mighty fine body of work. We especially loved this work he did with local artist Christopher Swift, named Apartype, where Roberts built a typeface from old fencing from Robben Island.
We always think that typefaces can be functional or decorative, but it’s great to see a typeface with real meaning behind it. Amazing, amazing work.
