Benedictine Brewery Corporate Identity

Classic beer calls for classic design. In a world where mainstream beers are looking for new, more technological ways to package their goods (Castle Lite is a good example, with their Castle that turns blue when the beer is at the optimal drinking temperature), it’s great to see craft brewers taking it in a different direction. They’re drawing on traditional design principles (note the gradations of colour denoting the different beer types) as well as looking even further back to illuminated manuscripts for illustration and typography.

What makes this entire project even tighter though, is the link that monasteries have always had with brewing. It all works together to produce a project which is exactly as it should be. And if the beer tastes half as good as the design looks, we’re sure they’re onto a winner!
